Brutality, beauty, durability. A world-famous venue for culture, nightlife and hybrid spaces, Printworks London is our flagship venue.

Once home to the largest printing factory in Western Europe, Printworks is London’s most disruptive cultural destination.

It comprises seven industrial event spaces across six acres of private-gated land, with a capacity of up to 6,000 and a 4am licence on weekends.

Situated in the former industrial centre of Surrey Quays, the site is a continuously evolving venue complex that has brought a new lease of life to the local area as well as to London’s cultural scene.

Printworks London (formerly Harmsworth Quays) was established in 1989 as western Europe’s largest print facility, and for 24 years The Evening Standard, The Daily Mail and Metro newspapers rolled off its presses.

10,000 square metres of versatile event space provide an authentic industrial setting for live performances and concerts, as well as for exhibitions, experiential events, product launches, conferences and filming.

  • The Container Yard is Printworks’ dedicated outdoor events space, with built-in bars and direct access to the interior spaces of the venue. A wall of black shipping containers encloses the 1,000 square metre space to create a secure urban backdrop to host events such as festivals, summer parties and street food markets.

Original features include the exposed, bright yellow steel frame and the large, industrial shutter doors that provide access to the outside space of the Yard. The Vanway is an excellent space for unique product launches and performances.

The space retains its original machinery and pipework in its ceiling, providing the perfect industrial backdrop for events and activations. Defined by its striking blue and yellow steel structure, this unique space offers the ability to deliver small to large-scale productions, fantastic for filming and experiential events.
