Thin Air brings the most progressive names in New Media art and culture to The Beams for a series of ambitious exhibits.
The series opens with a group of installations that explore the intersections between art, culture and technology. Ranging from live-action laser experiments to cavernous light and soundscapes, the installations are compelling, thought-provoking and big enough to get lost in. Featuring work by contemporary artists including 404.zero, James Clar, Robert Henke, Kimchi and Chips with Rosa Menkman, Matthew Schreiber, S E T U P and UCLA Arts Conditional Studio.

Built within 10,000 square metres of the capital's newest major cultural venue, the exhibition combines the post-industrial experiments of Printworks with the large-scale creativity of the Turbine Hall.
Thin Air reflects the values of The Beams: it is exciting, experimental and inclusive. Over eleven weekends the spaces will be activated by art collaborations from collectives celebrating the very best in London’s culture.

The journey culminates in Space 4, an impressive hybrid event space that can be reserved for exclusive use for up to 600 guests.

Host your guests in an unrivalled post-industrial setting, network and reflect. From drinks receptions and dinners to away days and product launches, the space can be tailored to create a range of out-of-the-ordinary occasions.

ThinAir is an immersive experience that flows between the interconnecting spaces of The Beams. We recommend up to an hour and a half to move through the installations, either with a curator’s tour, or with self-guided journeys. Ranging from live-action laser experiments to cavernous light and soundscapes, the installations are compelling, thought-provoking and big enough to get lost in.
-
At the end of the exhibition, there is a dedicated event space with the capacity for a reception of 600 guests, or up to 350 for a seated dinner. Set in one of the most characteristic locations in The Beams, the space is perfect for curator talks, private parties, breakfast meetings, conferences, product launches and out-of-the-ordinary award ceremonies and dinners.
